Socialization of Livestock and Household Organic Waste Management through the Compost Net Method

The Livestock Management and Waste Processing Intelligence Program using the Compost Net Method is designed to provide education and insight into composting as an effort to utilize organic waste into useful items, namely compost. The methods used include interactive presentations, the use of tools such as Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) projectors and laptops, as well as demonstration activities for making compost nets. The results of this program show that there is high interest from the community to apply the knowledge they have gained and practice it independently. This program was successful in helping increase public awareness regarding organic waste management and providing benefits to the environment.

This thesis aims to discuss the theme of balance in life in the poem "Joy and Sorrow" by Kahlil Gibran. The method used is descriptive analysis through intrinsic and extrinsic approaches contained in this poem. Everyone has different needs and priorities, to achieving balance in life requires strong reflection and self-awareness. Some things can be done to achieve balance in life, such as prioritising time with family and friends, managing time wisely and maintaining physical and mental health. Additionally, it is essential to periodically highlight aspects of life that require more attention and make necessary adjustments. In philosophical reflection on balance in life, one can also consider important values, such as happiness, love, and the meaning of life. This concept teaches that seeking balance in life is not only about maintaining a balance between work and personal life, but also about achieving harmony in larger and more significant aspects of life.

This leads many people to believe rumors or opinions without considering the facts. This educational program targets teenagers who are frequently exposed to social media. Teenagers can reflect on communication ecstasy in their daily lives.

Optimizing the Socialization of Sustainable Agriculture as a Strategy for Food Security and Local Economic Improvement in Pante Ceureumen District

Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency, has significant agricultural potential with extensive agrarian land, tropical agro-climate conditions, and social support based on cooperation. However, this region faces serious challenges such as limited agricultural infrastructure, land degradation, the dominance of conventional farming practices, and low human resource capacity of farmers. This community service activity aims to optimize the socialization of sustainable agriculture as a food security strategy while improving the local economy. The methods include a participatory approach through field observations, semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and field demonstrations. The activity results show a significant increase in farmer knowledge and skills, particularly in using organic fertilizers, crop diversification, efficient soil and water management, and reduced dependence on chemical inputs. The transformation of farmer behavior is reflected in adopting appropriate technology, strengthening farmer group institutions, and increasing awareness of preserving natural resources. The activity evaluation indicates savings in production costs, increased productivity, enhanced food security, and local economic welfare. However, the risks of land conversion, limited subsidized fertilizer, and climate change remain threats that require mitigation through local regulations, the provision of production facilities, and the adaptation of environmentally friendly technologies. In conclusion, optimizing participatory outreach and local wisdom has proven effective in driving the transition to an inclusive, resilient, and competitive sustainable agricultural system. Practical implications of this program emphasize the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration, regional policy support, and the use of digital technology as strategies for strengthening farmer capacity and sustainable rural development.

SOCIAL IMPACT AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION OF ENGLISH LITERATURE STUDENTS OF PAKUAN UNIVERSITY IN BUILDING THE CLIMATE-AWARENESS VILLAGE OF BOJONG KULUR THROUGH THE RESIK PROGRAM

The Waste Management and Climate Awareness Education Program (Resik) is an innovation developed by English Literature students at Pakuan University to encourage the community to change their behavior towards the environment. Through educational activities, digital technology, and social empowerment, students have developed a new approach to building climate awareness in Bojong Kulur Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency. The primary focus of this initiative is to create technology-based waste management solutions, such as digital waste banks and IoT dropboxes, while also encouraging community participation in urban farming activities and compost production. The results of the activity showed an increase in community participation of up to 85% with an increase in the social capacity index from 2.43 to 3.05 and an increase in the economic capacity index from 1.96 to 2.46; the formation of an independent Resik Working Group institution, and the emergence of a new awareness among the community of the importance of the green economy and disaster mitigation. This program is concrete evidence that literacy- and technology-based social innovation can strengthen village resilience to climate change.

The Role of English Literature Students at Pakuan University in the Resik (Waste Management and Climate Awareness Education House) Program: Efforts to Make Bojong Kulur Village a Disaster-Resilient Village

The Waste Management and Climate Awareness Education Program (RESIK) is a tangible manifestation of the contribution of English Literature students at Pakuan University in their efforts to create disaster-resilient and environmentally conscious villages. Bojong Kulur Village, Gunung Putri Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, was chosen as the location for the program because it faces seasonal flooding and suboptimal waste management issues. Through an educational, participatory, and technologically innovative approach, the students carried out a series of activities, including the digitisation of a waste bank, the construction of an IoT-based dropbox, composting training, and the strengthening of local institutions through the formation of the RESIK Working Group. The results of the activities showed an increase in community understanding of waste management by 84%, an increase in social participation by 80%, and the creation of synergy between the village government, community, and academics in developing Bojong Kulur Village as a Disaster Resilient Village.

Through an intensive and inclusive communication approach, the community is encouraged to engage in open dialogue, express their aspirations constructively, and understand their active role in realizing the collective spirit towards a Happy Village. This process not only encourages community involvement in various forums, but also fosters a sense of social ownership of the development programs being implemented. This activity demonstrates enthusiasm in designing and implementing empowerment programs. Participatory communication has proven to be an important foundation in promoting sustainable, inclusive, and socially-oriented community-based development. When the community feels heard and involved, social energy grows naturally, strengthening solidarity. This strategy has become an inspiring model for other communities that want to build change from within, based on local strengths and a spirit of togetherness.
